Overview
First, you'll become a member of the next generation of explorers. You and your team will train for a mission to Mars, practicing docking skills, navigating challenging terrain, and experiencing the sensation of a spacewalk in a microgravity environment using exciting, immersive simulation technology. Upon completion of your training, you ticket grants you full access to explore all exhibits and attractions at the main visitor complex for the remainder of the day.

The ATX Plus product will be available for purchase beginning Monday, November 3, 2025. ATX Plus includes access to the Astronaut Training Experience (ATX) program (8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. – ending time may vary), followed by admission to Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex until park close. The half-day admission to Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex must be used on the same calendar date as the scheduled ATX Plus experience. Admission is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed on an alternate date.

ATX participants must be 10 years of age or older. Participants aged 10 - 17 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
Some height and weight restrictions apply on certain simulators.
Shorts or trousers are recommended (no skirts). Athletic footwear is preferred.
Participants should be free of neck and back injuries Expectant mothers and those with abnormal blood pressure, adverse heart conditions, ear or sinus infections should not participate in certain activities.
Transportation to the Kennedy Space Center Visitors complex is not included.
Car parking is not included in the ticket price, the approximate cost is $15 per car, payable locally
Guests 'check in' at the Visitor Centre to collect their tickets.
ATX may be altered or closed due to operational requirements - i.e. during shuttle launches - in this instance, an alternative date will be offered or you can receive a full refund.
Cancellation Policy: All tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.
Know before you go
Get the full Astronaut Training Experience (ATX) program, plus admission to the explore the visitor complex for the rest of your day. Admission to the visitor complex is included with this purchase for the date of your ATX program. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a paying, participating adult. English Fluency: Due to safety instructions and the interactive content essential to this program, each guest must be fluent in English in order to participate in ATX.
All Astronaut Training Experience Simulators: For safety, you should be in good health and free from high blood pressure, heart, back or neck problems, motion sickness, or other conditions that could be aggravated by this experience. Expectant mothers should not participate.
Lander/Rover Simulator: Those who have had recent surgery or injury should not ride. Participants must be at least 51” tall.
Walk on Mars Virtual Reality: If you experience seizures, loss of awareness, eye strain, altered vision or other visual abnormalities, dizziness, disorientation, or any symptom related to motion sickness, you should not participate. Guests who have pre-existing binocular vision abnormalities should not participate.
Spacewalk Training: Participants must be at least 48 inches/1.22 meters tall. Max weight 275 pounds/127 kilograms.
