From start to finish on this San Francisco sightseeing highlights tour, you will laugh out loud at the surprising (sometimes crazy) things that have made San Francisco one of the world’s most beloved cities.

After the City tour is over you will be in the Fisherman’s Wharf where you can enjoy lunch and see famous sea lions. Then, make our way to Pier 33 (10-minute walk) and board the ferry for your afternoon Alcatraz Island tour. Listen to an audio presentation featuring recordings of inmates and guards that worked and inhabited the island. The Alcatraz tour gives you time to roam and explore this historic island prison at your own pace.

After touring Alcatraz to your heart’s content, grab one of the returning ferries to bring you back to your starting point at Pier 33.

Itinerary:
08:00 AM to 9:30 AM - Pick up, Palace of Fine Arts

• Pickup at one of two convenient San Francisco locations in either Union Square or Fisherman’s Wharf
• Drive through Marina district while enjoying the views of Alcatraz Island
• Stop and explore picturesque Palace of Fine Arts (15 minutes)

10:00 AM to 11:00 AM - Golden Gate Bridge and Land’s End
• Stop at a spectacular vista for photos of the iconic Golden Gate Bridge
• Stop at Land’s End for the Pacific Ocean coastline views
• Enjoy panoramic views of Sutro Baths and the Cliff House

11:00 AM to 12:00 PM - Golden Gate Park and Twin Peaks
• Drive through Golden Gate Park with its many gardens and museums
• Drive through San Francisco’s Haight-Ashbury with it’s Victorian architecture
• Stop at Twin Peaks overlook and enjoy the 360 degree views of the whole Bay

12:00 PM to 1:00 PM - Mission District, Drop off
• Stop at Misión San Francisco de Asís in the vibrant Mission District
• Ride through Civic Center
• Choose a Fisherman’s Wharf restaurant and enjoy lunch (not included)

1:00 PM – 5:00 PM - Alcatraz Island
• Pick up your tickets for Alcatraz at Pier 33
• Board your ferry for the Alcatraz Island tour
• Audio presentation "Doing Time: The Alcatraz Cellhouse Tour" featuring recordings of actual guards and inmates (foreign languages available)
• Free time to explore Alcatraz Island; take a return ferry to Pier 33
• Return to Fisherman’s Wharf in time for dinner
