Then you will be guided to Betty’s Hope Plantation, a sugarcane plantation, the first large-scale sugar plantation to operate on the island. Under the ownership of the Codrington family, the emphasis centered on sugar, following the earlier dominance of tobacco, indigo, and ginger crops. Your day trip will end with a thrilling and spectacular walk along the unique rock formation of Devil’s Bridge.
