Overview
Start at Betty’s Hope, the island’s oldest sugar cane plantation from the 17th century where you will hear about the history of the sugar cane industry. Then on to the 18th century at the Blockhouse Ruins, a combination of a small fort at the headland and garrison complex that was used by British soldiers. At Shirley Heights Lookout, take in spectacular views of the spectacular turquoise waters and the rolling green hills over English Harbor and Falmouth Harbor. You will then visit Nelson’s Dockyard, part of Nelson's Dockyard National Park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and finish your adventure with a visit to Donkey Sanctuary.
